... make that weightless.
The Republican bill, which has no chance of passage, would extend insurance coverage to about 3 million people by 2019, and would leave about 52 million people uninsured, the budget office said, meaning the proportion of non-elderly Americans with coverage would remain about the same as now, at roughly 83 percent. House Republicans, including their leader, Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, have said that they did not intend for their legislation to expand insurance coverage, because they viewed that goal as unaffordable. Instead, they said the bill was tailored narrowly to reduce costs.

No, the dems have all the answers. Lets wait to find out what all of us are forced to do. I am sure it will be a bipartisan bill with Snowe voting for it. That way the dems will blame the balloning fed deficit it will lead onto the rep party.

It's official.
The CBO Reports that Republican Leader John Boehner's replacement bill WOULD RESULT IN 36 BILLION IN GREATER DEFICITS THAN THE DEMOCRAT BILL.

Yes, but at least it doesn't provide health care to anyone.

Maybe not - but it gives them a stack of paper to flap around for the cameras at the next State of the Union address.

Where is shades?
Why isn't he bashing the GOP for putting forth a bill that is $36 billion worse for the deficit than the Democratic plan?

Maybe some Republican will go Fletcher Bell on us and file for worker's comp from lifting the Democrat bill. It ways from 20 to 70 pounds, depending on which Republican lawmaker you consult.

I demand that the disputed weight of the bill be cleared up.
Unless the CBO performs a non-partisan analysis of the official weight of the bill and publishes their results for 6 months online in advance of the vote... the proceedings should be filibustered.
THE PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT IS BEING VOTED ON!!
Why are the Democrats silent on this weighty issue? What are they so afraid of?

But god, at least those Republicans want to allow insurance companies to compete...so I can be ignored by ALL of private insurance. Cool stories bro. Giving me the opportunity to at least try to pay for my 200 dollar a week vial of insulin is much worse than my bill for going to the ER for Ketoacidosis.
