I am having a hard time trying to find it on the main page...
I know it is pre-season but this is the 20th ranked team in the nation...

The Topeka paper had a story online Sunday afternoon. I didn't see anything from the Lawrence paper until today.

I sure hope I get more coverage of the Lady Hawks this year since they are ranked. I get nothing here in NC<Ks.

Good question!
All I am saying is that it would make terrible business sense for the LJW to invest very much money on covering the Lady Jayhawks. People aren't subscribing to the LJW for ladies bball coverage, and the 3 people constantly whine about the coverage aren't driving enough internet traffic either.
Just like this Brando gent (seems like a nice guy, I am not trying to make enemies with anyone, just calling it like it is) doesn't go out and freelance writing articles on Ladies bball because he has no interest and it doesn't make fiscal sense to him, the LJW makes the decision to follow it loosely because it's a bad investment. That's all it is. I love chickball, but completely understand why it is where it is.
Actually, that was a superb idea by me, why don't one of you local peeps freelance it and sell your stories to the LJW?

Would it kill them to at least put up when the next game is on the Blue Box?
If Ladies' basketball was advertised more, then more people would show up... there were roughly 3,500 people at the Exhibition game on Sunday... and I know that when the season starts getting under way, the crowd will increase significantly.
And I'm sure the LJW can't accept articles from other people (aside from the AP). For starters, I would assume one would need a degree in Journalism.
Anyways, good luck ladies... one more tune-up game and then the real fun begins!

I am all for throwing the bone out there in the blue box, maybe something in small print that says "next women's game". Then again, there is a link that says "women's bball" and under that "schedules," so you kinda wonder where people are getting lost!
Men's bball=what pays the bills. 'Tis what it is, my bruddah.
"And I'm sure the LJW can't accept articles from other people (aside from the AP). For starters, I would assume one would need a degree in Journalism."
These are incorrect assumptions.
