Welcome to KUsports.com's message boards! Please read this agreement in its entirety because it contains a lot of useful information that will help you better understand the rules and general 'good manners' that are expected when using these boards.
By registering for and using KUsports.com's message boards, you agree to abide by the terms of this agreement.
KUsports.com wants to encourage an open exchange of information and ideas on these message boards. But, if you use inappropriate language or make potentially slanderous or libelous comments when using these forums, we reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to remove your postings. And if you become a consistent problem for us, our site's other users or our message board's administrators and moderators, we can and will ban you from using this free public service.
It is important to know that we cannot and DO NOT review every single posting made on KUsports.com's message boards. More than likely, you will read a posting on these message boards before anyone on the KUsports.com staff does. So, take what you find with a grain of salt. You can expect these areas to include information and opinions from a variety of individuals and organizations other than KUsports.com. And, please remember that 'fan' is short for fanatic, and there are a lot of big sports fans who come to the KUsports.com message boards.
We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of any posting, regardless of whether the posting comes from a user or from a celebrity or 'expert' guest. And don't even get us started about posts that come from fans of teams whose names rhyme with Ruhzerree or Ray-Rate. In short, there is no substitute for healthy skepticism and your own good judgment.
Responsibility for what is posted on the KUsports.com message boards lies with each user. You alone are responsible for the material you post. By using our message boards, you agree not to post any defamatory, abusive, obscene, sexual, threatening or illegal material, or any other material that infringes on the ability of others to enjoy KUsports.com, or that infringes on the rights of others.
We expect that you will not use the KUsports.com message boards to violate anyone's rights in copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property. By submitting material to KUsports.com's message boards, you are representing that you are the owner of the material, or are making your submission with the explicit consent of the owner. Submitting material that is the property of another without the specific consent of its owner is not only a violation of this user agreement, but may also subject you to legal liability for infringement of copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
Our message board software has a 'filth filter' on it that automatically blocks out certain words that might be offensive to some of our site's users. But if we feel a user of this software is purposely trying to get around this system, we may edit or even delete the post so that it does not contain certain types of words. Chances are, we will just delete the entire post or thread.
Any user who feels that a posted message on KUsports.com is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so -- within a reasonable timeframe -- if we determine that removal is necessary. But this is a manual process for us, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
By using the KUsports.com message boards, you:
Agree not to solicit others. You agree not to use KUsports.com's message boards to advertise or to solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind, without our express written approval;
Agree not to have multiple personalities on our boards. Each user may have only one log-in. If you would like to change handle, please e-mail us. Usage of multiple log-ins will result in our removing your posting privileges under any screen name. We also reserve the right to pull postings from handles which themselves might be considered objectionable;
Not to upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on the KUsports.com's message boards any libelous, defamatory, obscene, harmful, vulgar, threatening, tortious, harassing, abusive, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise illegal material;
Not to upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on the KUsports.com's message boards any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
Not to upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on the KUsports.com's message boards any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ('Rights') of any party;
Not to upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on the KUsports.com's message boards any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, 'junk mail,' 'spam,' 'chain letters,' 'pyramid schemes,' or any other form of solicitation; or
Not to upload, post, distribute, e-mail or otherwise publish or make available on the KUsports.com's message boards any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
And don't pretend to be someone else. It's perfectly fine with us for you not to use your real name as your message board handle, though it is kind of a wussy thing to do. But under no circumstances are our message board's users to knowingly use the name or identity of another person, whether that is another user on these particular boards, a public figure, celebrity, elected official, or a local high school football coach who really needs to lay off the Applebee's.
This also means that you will not knowingly give out any personal information of other members of these boards.
As noted earlier, if this type of action is thought to be happening on our boards, we reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you, including your IP address) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from this type of action.
Your posting of content and your thoughts on KUsports.com's message boards automatically gives KUsports.com a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, disseminate, perform, transmit and display such content (in whole or part) and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content. If you are not the owner of such content, you shall be deemed to have warranted that the owner of the content has expressly granted to you a similar license.
We do retain the right to revoke the access privileges of anyone who we believe has violated any of these terms or any other term of this agreement.
Any questions? Shoot us an e-mail. Seriously, go ahead and e-mail us. We'll answer. We love you. We're really not trying to be mean with all of this. You're our buddy, and we just want to take care of you. :)
Registration as a User also implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- Participants shall not post any material likely to cause offence, that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right - without the express permission of the owner of such copyright - or that contains personal phone numbers or addresses.
- Participants may not use the Forums to post or transmit advertisements or commercial solicitations of any kind.
- The appropriate Forum Moderator has the right to edit, censor, delete or otherwise modify any posted message.
- This web site does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of the material posted to the Forums or bear any responsibility for any loss, damage, or other liabilities caused by any posted message.
